Week 13: Presentation Day

OBJECTIVE: 1. To present the slide that has been prepared to the assessor.
           2. To get a feedback from the assessor about the project presented. 

METHODOLOGY: 1. Briefly explain about the project to the assessor. 
             2. Show the slides to the assessor for further process and method used to complete the project.

RESULTS: The assessor approved the project that has been presented to them. They understand the flow of the project and give some idea on how to develop this project later in final year project 2.

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: During the presentation day, the assessor commented on my point in the slide. She asked me to explain in detail how this project will function. She understand the flow for my future project and approved my title for this project.

CONCLUSION: The slide has been prepared for my presentation. Other than that, the assessor gave me their feedback based on my presentation and slides.

Week 12 : Generate Costing

OBJECTIVES : 1. To have a short list of hardware used for this project.
             2. To have a total budget of not exceed RM 500 for this project. 

METHODOLOGY: 1. Do a research on the price of the component used in this project.
             2. Make a short list of the component used with the price in the market.
             3. Discuss with supervisor how to manage the budget if the total price exceed the estimate range.

RESULTS:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: Even though the total estimated price for the components used in this project is exceeding RM 500, this project is affordable and i will still proceed with this project since it is related with my study. 

CONCLUSION: The short list of the component used for this project has been listed. It is important to have a costing budget because it will make student easier to manage their money.

Week 11 : Produce Gantt Chart

OBJECTIVES : 1. To have a systematic plan in doing final year project 1.
                        2. To plan and predicted the timeline for next final year project 2.

METHODOLOGY : 1. Meet supervisor and discuss with him the timeline on what to be done during this final year project.
              2. Produce a suitable gantt chart that can be easily followed.

RESULTS :

DISCUSSION : The time allocated for this fyp 1 is 17 weeks. For fyp 1 and fyp 2, the most crucial part is that meeting supervisor almost every week up until week 16 since he want to check and give opinions on what to do for this project.

CONCLUSION : A systematic plan to deal with this final year project has been done. The predicted timeline for final year project 2 also has been plan.

Week 10 : Feasibility Study

OBJECTIVES : To know the feasibility study for this priject.

METHODOLOGY : 1. Identify either this project can be done or not.
              2. Discuss with my supervisor if this project should be proceed or not.
              3. State the reason if this project should be proceed or not.

RESULT: This project is a good product and can be proceed.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION : Plant Watering System is a reliable project and i can proceed to finish this product for my final year project. The cost for this project is affordable and i can have enough budget to buy all the components related for this project which is not exceed RM 500. Besides, i have enough time to finish and do this project since this project wont take a long time to be done.

CONCLUSION : The feasibility study for this project has been determine.
