Week 34 (FYP 2): Submit full report FYP

OBJECTIVES: 1. To finalize the full report (Chapter 1-5) before submitted to supervisor and library UniKL BMI.
            2. To submit the report to supervisor.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Complete the report for chapter 4 and 5.
            2. Add detail information about the project in the report.
            3. Ask supervisor to check the report and plagiarism before submitted the full report.
             4. Submit the report to supervisor.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: In the report, there are the details about the project and the steps to do this project. Additional important info about each component used have been put in the report. During setting up this project, I gained a lot experience for example i know how to troubleshoot my project when the system did not well function. 

CONCLUSION: By completing this report, it means that my final year project has successfully done.From this subject, it helps me to show my skills in my course which is in electrical field. I am so thankful to my supervisor because he has chose this project for me.

Week 33 (FYP 2): Chapter 5 (Conclusion and Recommendation)

OBJECTIVES: 1. To make a conclusion for this project.
           2. To find a few recommendations  to improve my project in future.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Do a research on internet and journal to find more information about this project.
            2. Explain the benefits and advantages of this project to people in the report.
             3. Explain the limitation for this project and the future recommendations to improve this project.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: From this project, I can say that the objectives for this project have been successfully achieved. This project can help to ease people watering their plants when they are far away from their plants. They can get the information about their plants by Blynk application. From the apps, they can simply control and monitor their plants.

CONCLUSION: The objectives are achieved. The conclusion for this project have been done and there is a few recommendations to improve this project in future.

Week 32 (FYP 2): Chapter 4 (Result and Discussion)

OBJECTIVES: 1. To show the result for this project.
            2. To describe in detail the process of this system.
            3. To explain the function of the component used.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Show the results for every part.
             2. Show the process involved to make this project.
             3. Explain the problem happened during making this project.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: In this chapter, the functionality of each component used have been described in more details. Besides,the process involved in order to make this project have been explained and there is a few problems happened during the process. Before the presentation day, the relay did not function well. Luckily, there is still times for me to change the relay and it can function well during the presentation.

CONCLUSION: From this chapter, all the results for this project have been shown. The objectives are achieved.

Week 31 (FYP 2): Presentation Day


OBJECTIVES: 1. To present the poster and hardware(project) to my assessors.
           2. To know the comment and feedback about my project from assessors.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Briefly explain the poster to assessors.
            2. Demonstrate the system(hardware) of the project to assessors.

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: During the industrial day, Development of Internet of Things (IOT) of Garden Watering System has been presented. The system applied for this project has been explained in details to assessors. The poster helped me to explain about the block diagram and flowchart of this project.

CONCLUSION: The objectives are achieved. I have presented my poster and project to my assessors. Now, i need to focus on the report writing to be submitted to my supervisor.

Week 30 (FYP 2): Preparation for Industrial Day

OBJECTIVES: 1. To do a poster for presentation in A1 size.
           2. To have an approval from supervisor for the poster.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Design the poster using Power Point.
           2. Show the draft of the poster to supervisor to check it before print.
             3. Print the poster for presentation day.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: Before print the poster, I double checked with my supervisor if there is anything that I should add or changed in the poster. After my supervisor satisfied with the poster, then only i printed it.

CONCLUSION: The poster have successfully done. All the details about the project are being listed in the poster as a reference for my assessors during presentation day.

Week 29 (FYP 2): Design the model for the project

OBJECTIVES: 1. To design the project on the wooden planks.
            2. Decorate the place to put the plants.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Prepare the plywood to put the system on it.
             2. Measure and cut the wood into a suitable size.
             3. Put a wallpaper sticker to make the design more attractive.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: The first step to design the project is by measuring the wood and cut them with a suitable size. This is because if the housing is too big, it will be difficult to me to bring the project during presentation day. After that, to make the design more attractive and neat, i put a wallpaper sticker on the plywood. Then i arrange the system and component properly so that my assessors can see the system.

CONCLUSION: In conclusion, the model and hardware is done and ready to be presented for my assessors.

Week 28: Set up the Hardware

OBJECTIVES: 1. To set up the hardware for my project.
            2. To solder the component on a strip board.

METHODOLOGY: 1. Connect the NodeMCU with the relay.
             2. Connect relay with water pump motor.
             3. Soil moisture sensor is connected with the NodeMCU.
             4. Set up Blynk application with the system.

RESULT:

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION: When the sensor detected the moisture of the soil, the led on the sensor will turn on. However, when the sensor detect the soil is dry, the led on the sensor will turn off and it will trigger the motor to on and pump the water. When the sensor detected the moisture of the soil, it will send the signal to NodeMCUand it will send the status of the plants on Blynk apps.

CONCLUSION: All the objectives are achieved. The hardware is successfully set up and all the components have been solder.
